Karim, a half-Emglish teenager from the 1970s London suburbs is mortified when his civil servant father plunges into an affair with the exotic Eva and begins passing himself off as a spiritual guru. But, swept along into a different world, Karim' eyes are opened to a whole new life of drugs, experimental theatre, punk rock, fancy parties and all the sex a young man could desire.
